First of the mangoes...

Life lesson: Red is not the right colour to wear when stealing mangoes. But I was in the Brac for the afternoon and saw some I couldn't resist!
Also did some snorkelling on the Prinz Frederic wreck,

saw a beautiful Hawksbill Turtle, Grouper and a small Reef shark!
This morning I worked up an appetite as I sweated away on the porch re-screening project.

Then we went to the beach and as luck would have it I did not get any of the mangoes,

there were other hungry mouths to feed. But we had a great afternoon at the beach with our releatives (Cousin Shawn and family) visiting from Ocean Springs, Mississippi.

Sun-Day

A sunny Sunday, and with everyone back from their travels it was time to get out and enjoy the Caribbean. Someone forgot his swimsuit.

Even the sprats were out and about.

And lots of family and friends around.

Even Granny made an appearance!

And a very happy man to have his babies back home!

Discovery Day Holiday Weekend

We went to Little Cayman for the long weekend and started fishing as soon as we arrived!
Someone has to clean them.

Bike riding was popular this trip.

And Hayley learned how to clean fish, I know, smart daddy!

Fresh fish for dinner!

And then more fish!

Exploring the reef at low tide, tons of brittle star fish.

Even conchs right out of the water.

Hunter managed to net a baby nurse shark! Man was she mad! She was safely released after taking a big bite out of the net and attempting to take off my arm.
Unfortunately the camera battery went dead and we had no charger so missed pictures of all the other activities. Oh well, there's another long weekend in June...

Happy Mother's Day!

Kinda hard to not have a happy day when it looks like this!
Friends and family of all ages...

enjoying great food, drinks, conversation...

and the spleandors of our home. Happy Mother's Day. And a happy day it was for us all.

The Grand Canyon

I did a helicopter tour of the Grand Canyon. It was an incredible experience.

It's hard to express the magnitude of some things in photos, but being there in person sort of makes you aware of just how insignificant each of us is in the grand scheme of things.

My colleague from the Bahamas, there were five helicopters in total to carry the whole group.

Even in this arid place there were colourful flowers everywhere. And interesting plants of every description.

Then seeing the huge scars of bankrupt subdivisions carved in the desert reminded me that complete disrespect for our environment extends to all places on Earth; not just our beautiful little islands.

The weekend

Started re-screening the porch but that makes for boring pictures so here's my porch garden instead! Mosquios have gotten so bad I gotta fix the screens. Just something else to do.
Sunday at Granny's beach, a little too rough for swimming,

or so I thought!

Sunday night presenting prizes at the F A Cup final games. H & H saw the women's final but had to go home to bed before the men's final, both games were good.

Now in Las Vegas at a conference, this is my room at Aria. Back on Saturday, then Little Cayman, then children to Miami, then...
