Weekend round up

Saturday morning was the usual coffee and piano lessons, but we then visited the community day at the playing field and went to the farmer's market. I built a brochure rack most of the afternoon while the kids took a swim, fixed a steak dinner, then we had "movie night" (Holes was the movie) until bedtime. Sunday was breakfast with Nana and then I stained the rack. Hayley and Hunter went to Cayman Kai with Aunt Shir Shir while Gary and I had a boy's day on the boat. Once again a beautiful weekend in Cayman.

Visit from a turtle

Just what little "Shelby", a fresh water hickatee turtle was doing at our front door we have no idea! Perhaps on her way to a suitable nesting site and went a little astray? That innocent looking face is deceptive, she can bite off a broom stick.

We took Shelby down to the pond and let her go. She seemed thankful. Another good deed done and then off to bed.

All work and no play...

Lana and Heather enjoying the company of some nice big stingrays at the sandbar.
Back to Rum Point for a Sunday swim. After frolicking with the stingrays, I think girls are far more dangerous!
Meanwhile at Granny's, Hunter was busy catching fish with his net, while...
all the girls were digging in the sand for skillpots!

Just another Sunday...

Yet another Sunday afternoon at Rum Point with beautiful weather and beautiful friends! The kids stayed Saturday night and most of Sunday at Granny's. But alas, back to work and school tomorrow.

Sunny September Saturday

A surprizingly sunny, breezy and cool September Saturday so Rex hammed it up a bit in the pool. Then Annika, Everton, Skye and Starri came by and joined in the fun. Not much productive achieved around here today but you don't get many days like this in the middle of the "rainy" season!

New Uniforms

New school uniforms proudly modeled by the two snugglers on their way to wait for the new school bus (too big to come down our road) along with Super Nanny and Rex. Yes, I could have gotten the garbage bag out of the way and yes the hurricane shutters are still up but just wasn't thinking too straight on a Monday morning... especially after the fun time on Sunday.

September Sunday

The rains cleared away and so the tradition of Rum Point Sundays continued.
All good things must come to an end, school and work tomorrow!

September Weekend

Hunter will start piano classes next weekend so his sister started tutoring him this weekend. He's doing quite well!
A sunny afternoon swim (after some maintenance work around the house and a bath for Rex) followed by a heavy rain shower, lightening and thunder. which persisted into the evening. Boating plans for tomorrow bu the rain hasn't stopped...

More of Little Cayman

A nice Jack but can be poisonous so I released him. We kept the Blackfin Tuna. Ya gotta love that hairstyle!
The "Mangrove Club" was in full swing.
And yes I saw some nice looking birds! (Little Green Heron)

Owen Island Video

Four Days in Little Cayman

Little Cayman was as beautiful as ever. Snorkeling at Bloody Bay.
One tired fisherman! And justifiably so; we caught lots of fish!
Swimming at Owen Island is a great way to relax after a hard morning of fishing.
Owen IslandThree tired, sunburned Caymanians!
