Childrens Festival of the Arts

Hayley's Tap class won a gold medal for their performance tonight at the Children's Festival of the Arts! She and Starri looked outstanding thanks to hard work from Brittny and after the performance it was time to catch-up with friends Haleigh and Kiana.

Another sunny day!

Another sunny Sunday and who would let a bout of laryngitis keep them from enjoying a boat trip to the sand bar and Rum Point? Not me! So off we went, except for Hunter who decided a day at Katherine's was the better choice. Fresh marinated conch, cold liquid refreshment, good company, beautiful weather, what better way to spend a precious day-off? Still can't talk though!

Picnic in the Park

Today we had a picnic in the George Town Park to welcome Meagan, Katherine's new nanny! A great time was had by all. Yesterday I worked near home at Heritage Beach so got some additional help after school.

Walkathon Weekend

At 6:45am Saturday morning North Side Primary School held its walkathon to raise money for playground equipment and library books. Hayley and Hunter made about 2 miles of the five mile walk, I completed the walk for them. Hayley raised over 500 dollars; one student raised over a thousand. All in all over CI$26,000 (US$33,000) was raised far beyond the $5000 we had hoped for! The it was off to the regular routine of piano and gymnastics. Hunter spent the afternoon in town visiting Katherine, Hayley wasn't feeling well and relaxed at home with Brittny. I had meetings for a good part of the day. Sunday morning coffee got off to a late start for some and ended when we rushed off to Cayman Kai to join Uncle Gary on his boat in the North Sound. First we dove some conchs and prepared marinated conch, then visited the sandbar (Stingray City) finally relaxing in the calm quiet water at Rum Point. Another beautiful weekend.

Sunday and Sports Day

Sunday was a quiet affair with lots of company including Katherine and Uncle Eric. A great swim in the neighbor's pool was the perfect ending to a warm sunny Sunday.
Tuesday was sports day and the little athletes competed and placed in several races. They were both exausted after a full day of running around in the hot sun but it beat being in the classroom! Aunt Shirley and Granny came out in support and then two tired kids had a fun bus ride home and an early night to bed.

Saturday March 4, 2006

The usual busy Saturday. I took 16 people for a hike of the Mastic Trail, Hayley had piano lessons and Hunter gymnastics. They had lunch in town with Aunt Shirley, Uncle Eric, granny and grandaddy, I went to Over The Edge for lunch with Carol, John, and Brittny. Had company most of the afternoon and then an evening dip in the neighbor's pool! A bunch of people coming by for pizza and dominoes tonight.
