More football

My life as a soccer mom continues and fortunately Hunter's team is doing well.
Today's game was at East End Primary and the score was 8-1 in favour of Triple C!

Hunter played most of the game and performed well. On the way back we picked up another load of pavers and this afternoon Jenn and I just about finished paving over the "flower beds" on the back porch. Looking forward to tomorrow... :-)

Busy Saturday

Got the Halloween decorations out in the front yard,

then made a trip to North Side house to get a load of pavers which we then installed over the beds on the porch,

and Hunter's team beat Prospect Primary 4-2! Now I can't wait for a day on the water...

Maxwell Roulstone HSF

Despite all the rain, the Maxwell E. Roulstone High-Security Facility is almost complete. If Max can jump this fence he will represent the Cayman Islands at the next olympics! He and Rex are missing their nanny, Granny and Auntie as are the rest of us. :-( Just look at those sad faces...

Trip to the caves

What to do on a Sunday morning? First coffee and Omlets with Nana, then a visit to "Uncle Darvin" and then time for adventure!
We decided to check out the caves near our North Side house.

There were no bats in the cave, just some hermit crabs and a whip scorpion.

The cave is in good condition and just one old shoe-print. Not easy to get to since Ivan but my explorers were up to the challenge.

A great trip but really hot and humid,
time to head to the water!
What better spot than my "private beach".

Fun's over, time to bathe the dogs. :-(

September 13th

It was a beautiful day, which is quite amazing when you consider that five years ago to the day we were venturing out to survey the destruction from Hurricane Ivan.
We even brought out the water trampoline, but there were also other ways to get high!

Lots a lovin!

I think the trampoline needed some air.

Fitting way to start the football season!

Where is the rain?

Sunday at West Bay with the most beautiful weather considering we are supposed to be in the rainy season!

Happy Birthday Nana!

It was a special time for Carol as she celebrated her birthday at a surprise party at 55 Memorial. And at 9:09pm on 9-09-09 she blew out the candles with the help of three very special friends. And yes, got my camera back from the shop!

Rainy Holiday Monday

We finally got some rain and it came right as the Barbecue got started. Shirley persevered cooking the hamburgers but the boating was not on.
There is a danger of confining people to the inside of a house on a holiday in Cayman so some healing was necessary. The Snuggly (as seen on TV) did the trick and all is better now. I think.

Waiting for Grandma

Usual Rum Point pictures and then one this morning of the kids with fresh mangoes! We all ate way too many on the boat yesterday but we did save one or two for Grandma. These are "Nelson" mangoes, my favourite, and one of about 26 different kinds we get at this time of year.

School Concert

'Tis the end of the school year, so lots of stuff going on including the school musical that had a solo by Hunter, albeit a very brief one, a real proud moment for Dad nonetheless!

Saturday

Not taking many pictures lately but staying busy. Hunter and I went to Little League softball while Jenn and Hayley did some shopping. We all met for lunch then spent some time in the skateboard park before attending Petapalooza. Then out to dinner. Boating today... hopefully I'll remember to take some pictures!

Another Sunday at Rum Point

Shirley feeding a stingray, no need to go to stingray city!
Katherine and Hayley return from making sandcastles on the beach.

And my other snuggler thought the water was cold!
