Finally got the Governor Gore's Bird Sanctuary re-opened. Governor Stuart Jack was on hand to cut the ribbon and Hayley, Hunter and Katherine enjoyed seeing the whistling ducks with babies and other wildlife.
I worked on Saturday while H&H were at piano and gymnastics, then we had company over for dinner Saturday night (The Reids, Nana and Alyson). We went out to the Barkers Key area snorkelling on Sunday morning and saw lots of fish including Four-eye Butterfly fish, a large Barracuda and a school of Surgeonfish, then returned for a restful Sunday evening.
After coffee with Greg and Nana we headed out on the boat for another Sunday in the sun. The early morning rains cleared away for a hot sunny afternoon with good company in our usual spot at Rum Point. This is the 11am picture and before the 40+ other boats arrived as the day progressed. Days like this make the work week a little more tolerable!
Quick pic's of H&H at gymnastics this morning. I went with them to see how they are progressing then they went off to lunch with Dine and Aunt Shir Shir. I am now going to work around the yard then fix dinner for them and hopefully we will be boating tomorrow.
We visited Jim and Susan and H&H had a nice swim before a fantastic Canadian Thanksgiving dinner (delayed a week so I could be there) prepared by chef Jenn. Its been a hectic week for all, the wiser of us will be off to bed early!
I got back from Jersey today so here are a couple pictures from the conference: Eddie (St. Helena), Rhon and Karim (Anguilla) and me with the Jersey cows outside the nightclub on my last night. Same group minus Eddie but with Farah (Anguilla) and Lucy (St. Helena) having dinner. We hit it off as group from the first day and hung out throughout the whole week. I had never met anyone from St. Helena before and they have the weirdest accent!
