More Halloween

After Trick-or-treating everyone came back to the house for hotdogs. The kids were twirling glowing bracelets and Carol took these interesting shots.
You can clearly see Katherine's hand in this one.
Hopefully Greg doesn't check the blog or he'll kill me for this one! Sam applying the finishing touches to his make-up! Well just to be fair I posted a rather embarrassing one of me too...
We went to a great party. Greg was designated driver. No idea who this person is... spotted it on Facebook, thankfully you cant tell that's me, enough said!

Weekend Fun

Number 6's team did not do so well this time, many of the star players were absent (most noteably the goalie!) and they lost 5-1. No fault of number 6 who played well in defense, just a better team from Prospect Primary on the pitch this week.
Hayley and Katherine spent a lot of time preparing for their party and it was a big success. By the time I got around to getting pictures some of the guests had already left. The final stragglers cleared out around 9:30.

The week...the good and the bad

With no nanny and my usual "helpers" (Shirley and Sharon) in Miami, I got to see some of Hayley's netball game when I picked them up after school. Hayley is second from the left. It was raining so they played inside and Hunter's football practise was cancelled.
Then Granny decided to give us a scare with a trip to the emergency room on Friday afternoon, her blood pressure skyrocketed and she did not get released until after 10pm Friday night. She is doing better today and all her tests were good.
Hunter had a football game on Saturday morning against Wesleyan. That's him in the centre.
He played really well and they won the game 6-1!
That's one proud daddy! Meanwhile Hayley has spent her time decorating Sharon's house for the big Halloween party next weekend.

Soccer Mom

Cousin Katherine made her debut in Primary School football today proudly watched by her mom, dad, aunt, uncle and cousins!
Hunter played in three games winning one, losing the second on penalties and losing the third 1-0. All in all a good performance for the team. Hunter is second red shirt from the left.
The quality of sportsmanship was impressive and Hunter's team played well despite their losses. Now I am again back to being a soccer mom!

Boating Sunday

Yet another iguana, this one captured at Gary's. Probably one of very few to go boating over to Rum Point.
A beautiful sunny Sunday.
Lots of good food, drinks and company. Nice day.

First Saturday in October

Thursday night, Chilean wine dinner with Concha Y Toro winemaker Alejandra Valejo.
Saturday at what is left of Granny's beach! "Nicole" created some heavy surf which took away the sand and piled up some big boulders. Granny and Hayley getting their feet washed.

The Iguana catcher did his magic and captured three of the voracious little plant eaters.

Getting ready to repatriate the little fellas to a location where their contribution to defoliation will be more appreciated (or at least less noticed!).
